MAYWOOD, IL – Loyola Medicine has been named to Becker's Hospital Review's 2024 list of 100 Great Neuro and Spine Programs.

According to Becker's, the list features programs with "exceptional patient outcomes, advanced surgical techniques and groundbreaking research. They boast visionary leaders, top-tier specialists, robust research initiatives and pioneering clinical trials."

"Our neuro-spine program brings together the collaborative skills of highly trained neurologic surgeons, orthopaedic spine surgeons, neuroradiologists and neuro intensivists to optimize care for patients with spine, stroke and other neurologic disorders," said Alexander J Ghanayem, MD, chair of Loyola Medicine's Nancy W. Knowles Orthopaedic Institute. Becker's editorial team took several rankings and awards into consideration, including U.S. News & World Report, Newsweek and other top rankings organizations. Hospitals cannot pay for inclusion on the list.
